While a transition with an organization the size and scope of the Pima County Republican Party should not be complicated, there are issues that can complicate things. The documentation that was provided to Chairwoman Ward and newly-elected Chair Smith were sufficient for any experienced Republican PC to move the party forward.
The 2020-2022 PCRP moved forward with technology and service to our PCs:
- We ZOOMED all Executive Committee meetings for all PCs
- We implemented LASTPASS to make all passwords available to the Chair and ED
- We installed SMART locks to provide access to the building for all PCs
- Used AIRPLAY for training
- Changed Internet providers from Cox to Century Link recognizing a substantial monthly savings
- Transitioned from PayPal to Anedot
- We used Google products rather than Microsoft
- Added a security camera at the office
- Made improvements to the office when we had to move
- Refreshed all computers
- Monitored all QuickBooks postings
- Issued monthly Balance Sheets and Profit and Loss Statements at each monthly meeting
- Published detailed Monthly Meeting Minutes with documented Motions and Votes
- Allowed PC to attend meetings in person; space allowing
- Maintained the office hours of 9:00-3:00 daily
- We began and maintained a robust training program for PCs
- We held the largest (financially and attendance) Lincoln Day Dinners for our community
- We consistently published information in our E-suite of news
- In the off-year, we hosted a SOLD OUT campaign school
Removing the Audit
For the first time in the history of the PCRP, there were funds available for an audit of the books. The audit was to be a complete AUDIT to be able to refute the allegations and accusations of “felony fraud” made by Justine Wadsack and other PCs. This audit has been removed and the $20,000 funding which was paid for the audit was demanded to be returned to the PCRP. Approximately $18,000 was returned.
Removing the Attorney Retainer
A $10,000 Attorney Retainer fee was left with Wilenchik and Bartness. The $10,000 retainer was returned to the PCRP.
Unfounded Accusations
Unfounded accusations by the leadership have continued. Accusations of theft, fraud, website removal, computer destruction, and data removal. These accusations have been so rampant that they will now be used in a trial for removal of a member of Republican leadership.
Continued Board Member Interference
